Secure your accommodation now for the annual Reef and Rainforest Carnivale commencing on the 23 May - 01 June '08.

Carnivale is a time when visitors and locals join in and celebrate life in the tropics, its pleasures, weather, culture, art and cuisine. Events kicks off on Friday 23rd May with the Spectacular Street Parade - floats, street theatre, entertainers, buskers, bands and a fireworks spectacular will bring to life this year's theme of “Bringing the Country to the Coast”. As the sun sets on Port Douglas thousands of Carnivale revelers line the main street for this unforgettable parade. Food stalls and children’s rides; live music and street dining will be followed by a massive firework spectacular launched from Anzac Park.

When: Activities start at 5:30pm
Macrossan Street Parade kicks off at 7:00pm

The Family Beach Day commences the following day. Indulge in a BIG breakfast, pick up a bargain from the market stalls lining the foreshore, watch the pet parade, soak up the sunshine on the beach and participate in or watch the beach cricket with Damien Fleming! There will be fun and games (for all ages!), activities, fabulous food, Harley Davidson bike rides, markets, bands and loads of entertainment – what a fantastic to spend the first Saturday of Carnivale!

When: 24th May from 8am - 2pm
Where: The Esplanade and Four Mile Beach.

Don't miss Quicksilver’s Food Wine a Taste of Port. This sensational evening offers a wonderful blend of superb tropical cuisine, top notch entertainment and socialising on the Port Douglas seafront. Food and drinks can be purchased from the many stalls that surround the park and enjoyed at your table while you admire the stunning surrounds, the sounds of the ocean.  Listen to this year’s headline act, The McClymonts and grooving to support band Hip2Soul. And then enjoy the fabulous fireworks show!

Hi All!

I just wish to tell you about my great stay at Lagoons @ Port last weekend.

We had a One bedroom Private Plunge Pool Apartment, which had all the kitchen needs to self cater for a couple of meals throughout our stay, plus laundry facilities. The Plunge pool option with our own courtyard was very private and personal, had an opportunity to sunbake and cool off while still next to our room.

The beach was also quite close, just a walk down the road, through a park & playground then on Four Mile Beach which was really handy. The main street of Port Douglas was about 2-4 minutes in a car, or there was also local buses traveling past running into the main street which also made accessability to Macrossan Street really easy.

It was nice to get away for the weekend and being a new property I would certainly recommend it.

See ya!

Over the last 30 years, Port Douglas has grown from a seaside village to an international standard resort town. There are more than 50 restaurants and more than 150 tours on offer, many to the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree, Mossman and Cape Tribulation rainforests. Much is to be said for unwinding on Port Douglas's own Four Mile Beach. It is a gorgeous stretch of golden sand studded with shady palm trees just perfect for lazing under.

An experience not to be missed is breakfast with the birds at the Rainforest Habitat, an amazing park showcasing the natural inhabitants (both animals and plants) of the Tropical North.

Sunday is the day for visiting Port Douglas's local markets by the sea. You'll find everything from handwoven hammocks and fresh coconut milk straight from the nut, to exotic herbs and tropical fruits grown on the Atherton Tableland.

Thanks, we had a fantastic time at Fairway Four. I will be recommending it to any of our friends heading to Port Douglas, it is the place to stay.
The facilities and positioning of the Villa is second to none. We have been coming to Port Douglas for 11 years now sometimes twice a year and have stayed at many and varied properties and Fairway Four is by far the best we have stayed at. We will definately be back, even if it is just my wife, our young son and I :-). Although our daughters (18 and 16) will probably disown me if we dont bring them again as they also loved it. Port Douglas is definately our second home, so much so, my wife and I actually got married at the Sheraton 6 years ago.
The BBQ was fantastic, being able to cook a barbe a couple of nights and sitting out on the porch each night enjoying a glass of wine was very memorable.
We've been coming to Port Douglas for 11 years now and have stayed nearly everywhere (well, not now with all the new complexes going up) but mainly at the Sheraton and none of the places we've stayed compare to your Villa.
Such a fantastic position and close to everything near by. Even the trolly to help get the bags to and from the car is a great idea. We will definately be back :-) I will be recomending your Villa to any of our friends who are looking to come to PD.
So, once again, thank you very much for letting us stay there and we will be back.
Thanks from Patricia, Aidan, Laura, Aimee and myself.

Warner Bros Movie - Fools Gold started screening February 7th, 2008. If you haven't already seen it, it is worth going to for viewing beautiful locations of Queensland , such as Lizard Island , Whitsundays and Port Douglas.

With scenes shot in Macrossan / Wharf St 's, plenty of locals were seen - some pretty quickly. M.V. Phantom appears in the first 10 minutes and has plenty of footage on the back deck fight scene and travelling. The weather and sea conditions were perfect It just confirms what a great place Port Douglas is and hopefully will inspire people to holiday here.

A film for all the family, catch it on the big screen. I know I will be getting a few DVD's...
