For 10 balmy days and nights each May, Carnivale takes over the seaside resort village of Port Douglas.  A magical festival held in the far north village of Port Douglas.  

CARNIVALE sails into tropical North Queensland with an exciting line up of events for locals and visitors alike.  Showcasing the natural wonders of the Daintree Rainforest, Four Mile Beach and the soul of Port Douglas, the people.

Port Douglas is famous for balmy nights and days and along with Spiegeltent, Port Douglas Carnivale presents Port of your Fork, Food, Music & Wine, Saturday 26th May: 5pm -11pm. 

Paradise on a Plate, The longest lunch, Friday 25th May:  11:30am - 3pm.  Indulge in a long lazy lunch with a tropical twist.  Exotic abundant banquet of four courses catered by award winning Ochre Restaurant and accompanied by a unique entertainer that will keep your senses buzzing.   

Carnivale Wonders of the World Macrossan Street Parade is a family highlight with spectacular colour and lights.  

Family Beach Day: Saturday 26th May, 11am - 3pm Four Mile Beach
Build a magnificent sand castle and see amazing sand art, Beach volleyball, face painting, market stalls, family entertainment,  

Seafood Extravaganza:  Sunday 27th May, 10am - 9:30pm 

May is the perfect time to stay within the seaside resort village and its surrounds.  All events are walking distance from each other and Macrossan St.   

Carnivale showcases the beauty of the region.  Contrasted with the waterfront parks overlooking the coral seas, coconut trees, spectacular Four Mile Beach and the waterfront marina.

Getting there:  Qantas, Virgin Blue and Jetstar have daily flights to Cairns. Exemplar Chauffer Coaches offer transfers between Cairns and Port Douglas.
